Evaluation
All valid applications to the Pitt Sustainability Challenge will receive written feedback on their proposals.
Evaluation will take place in several stages. First, Evaluation Panel judges will score and provide feedback on the applications assigned to them using the scoring rubric. Each valid application will receive five (5) sets of reviews with scores that have been statistically normalized for fairness. Informed by the resulting rank order of applications, the Pitt Sustainability Planning team will select up to five Finalists based on factors that include but are not limited to Evaluation Panel rank order and feedback, solution type, organizational capacity, and feasibility.
The Selection Committee will attend the pitch event in September 2023 and select the $300,000 awardee of the Pitt Sustainability Challenge. Selection Committee members will be added here in the coming months.
